    Unhappy Is that fuel I smell V.Letthemotherfockerburn

    So... I think you can see that my baby is gone. I was on my way to work this morning when I noticed a rather strong fuel smell inside the car. I have not driven the car in over a week and was excited to take her out of the garage. Anywho.. After about two to three miles of driving I decided to pull over and pop the hood to inspect. As soon as I poped the hood open the flames came pouring out. Anywho... SHES DEAD! Insurance is covering the car and the aftermarket acces. Thanks to all the sponsors who are helping me get together old receipts/invoices to turn in I really appreciate it.

    SOOOOO................... WHATS NEXT???

    Thanks for all the kind words...

    I am going to go with the or not on the srt4 comment. I liked traction to much.

    I dont know what caused it but I have only heard of a few burning up from electrical fires on NASIOC.

    And YES.. It did suck watching it burn to the ground. I prlly caused more damage at first with the large amounts of dirt I was trying to throw on it.

    But like i mentioned above there is no need to harp on it. I just have to let it go. But that does not mean that I cannot build the next one bigger and better!!! I am thinking turbo e30 m3 or something along that line . (oh and no smart ass comments about my traction comment above.. hehe)

    i used to be a volunteer fireman and i used to be a nazi about carrying around an extinguisher. I almost got burned up in a 1114 ("humvee") accident in iraq this past year. I went to autozone after work today and picked up some miniature ones for the cars.

    Good job man! They are a great thing to have in the car.

    Not saying it would have saved the car, but helped in the feeling of sitting there and watching the car burn.

    looks like a fuel delivery problem that caused it. Its not a electrical fire I can promise that. Good luck man. I feel bad for the insurance company cause they won't be able to go after the manufacturer.

    insurance is covering them , but i know the guys at the salvage yard its going to.. so i will be attempting to pick them back up. anywho.. thanks for all the comments. i have the bottle of dew in my garage. i actually almost took my buffer to the wreckers place and buffed out a little area just to make a joke about it but i was still a little pissed. I am seriously contemplating going to a diff. setup for now just because i know if i buy another one i am going to dump just as much money if not more in to it as i did this one and it sure is a hella long way to topspeed for another tune... hehe... i am def. going to just drop the next one off somewhere to do the work because i watched alot of hard/long hours go down the drain on this one. anywho.. I am prlly just going to buy something cheap to beat on until i make up my mind. my parts hauler is prlly going to get a fresh coat of paint and make a few additions to our second home down here in savannah to please the wife... i gotta get as many cool points as possible because she knows if the money sits in the account to long i will prlly end up blowing it on something stupid like my ever-growing gun collection.
