the Porsche vs Corvette argument is stupid.
Apparently one is considering only 1/4 mile times. Never in its history has a Porsche been setup primarily for drag racing. The 911 is one of the world greatest ever cars and anyone who thinks different because of poor 1/4 mile performance can't call themselves intelligent. The corvette is a good car no doubt but overall the 911 is a bigger triumph.
Consider a 1964 911 and today vs a 1964 vette and today. One has stayed the same while the other is very different. Don't get me wrong, that 64 vette is a great car but the little change on the 911 shows what im on about.
I do consider most street cars of what they give back to the driver and a 911 gives back more than a vette.
