new stuff for the focus

just thought i would post up a few little things i've done to the focus over the last couple weeks. i've got quite a few other things i'm doing but time is something i don't have a ton of lately so i'm doing what i can when i can. most of the pics are from my cell so not the greatest, and the car is dirty, so not looking great. LOL i'll get some clean pics soon. i have a large rear sway bar going on later this week.

i plan to paint the vent surrounds gloss black as well when i get a chance.

got the new side mirrors painted. still need a little work before install


that's about it. still got a couple other things i'm trying to get done. i'll post more pics once they are done and the car is actually clean. LOL

i'm not feeling the shift boot housing paint though to be honest, looks off

I agree with stormhammer.....painting stockers only works for some...and I am just not feeling it on yours....but I guess as long as you like it.

My best reccommendation is to keep it clean, which you seem to be doing! Are you on FocalJet by any chance?

Engine Bay = Clean and Simple
Painted Interior = Not really feeling it. Though the radio surround doesn't look too bad.
Wheels = Meh, they're not terrible but get some real aftermarkets when you get a chance.
Headlights = They actually look pretty good for what they are.
Grill = Ehhh...
Mirrors = Gonna need pics of them installed to judge.
Performance Parts = Yay!

thanks for the comments everyone. the shifter cover looks better in person. ****ty cell pick+bad lighting=ftl. LOL the rims do look much better when cleaned up and are shinny. just really dirty in the picks. i do plan to get some aftermarkets in the near future tho. my grill is kinda a hit or miss thing. LOL you either love it or hate it. i love it cause it's diferent. plus us 05-07 focus guys are limited to parts that are availible. i do appreciate all the comments and thoughts.

problem is none of the aftermarket grills fit 05-07's. they are all for 00-04. body changed in 05.

eh well... sry i was "hating" man... focus's just are not even on my top 10 of fodo's. but like everyone else said... clean is the key to acceptance haha. just dont go all APC on it and most will still respect it.

i wasn't a huge focus fan or anything either. when i bought it in june of 04' the suv i had blew the engine and i needed an inexpensive vehicle quick. i test drove a couple and the focus was a fun little car, with good gas milage and a decent warantee. it's definately a fun little car to drive and i by no means would say or think it's the shyt or anything. but it's what i got so i do with it what i can. i'm in a much better situation now and nearly have it paid off. once it's paid for i'll do a few more things to it but not much. it's gonna stay my DD and i'm gonna buy me a real fun toy next year prolly early spring. i do love the focus in the twisties tho. LOL

yeah. i used krylon fusion made for plastics. seems very durable. i know quite a few people that have used it and it seems to hold up well. btw, thanks.

once i can get a deal on some rims, svt's are a good possibility. people tend to want too much for them most of the time imo.

btw, for those who might wonder why the engine cover? have you ever seen a duratec engine? they are f-n hideous. it's a rats nest of wiring that's pretty damn ugly. the engine cover is purely for shows and meets, stuff like that. just a little something to make the engine bay look a little cleaner.

So im guessing you used Krylon paint for everything except the engine cover? What are you going to use for your engine cover? Can you walk me through the process, like sand, coat, clear coat? Im going to be painting my stock spoiler and I want to use the correct paint. Most people suggested Truck, Van and Auto paint.
