    No no...in fact, the first gen M3 (e30) was a 4 cylinder in the late 80s an early 90s..the second gen m3 (e36) was a 240hp 3.0-3.2L in-line 6...the 3rd gen (e46) --my body style-- is a 333 hp 3.2L in-line 6...Superchargers make the car put around 420-500 whp depending on the kit.

And Seattle ROCKS...it's absolutely stunning..ocean on one side and mountains on the other...people always said it rains too much but it's been clear and sunny for the past week...and on a bad day it's really only cloudy... I'm getting a condo on the beach, but it's not going to be finished till april, so the construction company got me an apartment in the meantime...here's the view outside my apartment (my back yard really) :

and here is the view from in front of where my condo will be:

lol...well I bought the car in Virginia on a rainy day..there were SO many rock chips, door dings, and a few small dents that were there. The stock wheels are not supposed to be black, that was the gunmetal paint coming off from the last owner using an abrasive brush on them. I was pissed when I got it home and saw all the flaws.

    All's good now though!

As far as cost, consider this:

Number 1: The body work involved in getting rock chips, dents and dings out.
Number 2: Detrimming the entire car- removing all the windows, all weather stripping, mouldings, front and rear bumpers ,headlights, tail lights, etc etc
Number 3: Removing and sanding down the entire car and repriming and sealing the car including the door jambs and trunk jambs
Number 4: Respraying the car with a PPG/House of Kolors paint that is about $500.00 per gallon and the car required well over a gallon...not including the clearcoat cost, the pearl ice cost, and the other materials involved.
Number 5: Installing a fiber-reinforced plastic trunklid and installing a carbon fiber front lip ....that trunklid took a WEEK to prep since just painting it would have made it look wavy...like a cheap body kit
Number 6: Reinstalling everything and wetsanding and buffing.

A custom paint shop charges around $10,000 for this type of paint job. Magnum in Marietta wanted around $12,500 for a job this magnitude.

    I paid....$3000.
Thats Awesome! You got a "great" deal on that. Excellent Job
