Enlighten me Erin, did anyone there know WTF they were doing besides you? I see a LOT of body roll and not much rotation in those pics.

there were a large number of new people there so there were a lot of spins, cone munching and generally bad driving habits being displayed. but it's a practice event, it's a time to learn.

i was suprised most of those cars made it around the track and didn't break or catch fire. brake pedals that hit the floor, batteries not tied down, seats not bolted in, fluids leaking onto manifolds/exhaust, etc... i was really alarmed at the percentage of people who showed up not even remotely ready for a simple tech inspection.

I figured as much. That is absolutely ridiculous. Those people should have been booted off the track.

How's your car running? I haven't talked to you in a MINUTE y0!

ran into a little snag and missed my last run group at the event. turns out when i installed a new tank o-ring i managed to pinch the fuel pump wire in the flange. it lasted all day until after the 3rd run group. i pulled up and parked the car, went to start it for the next run group and it popped fuses non stop. other than that little snag it's been flawless. this is the first i've really gotten to drive the car since nationals and the trackday i did the weekend following.

we had 3 LS1 240's out there at this event, i ran tandem all day with a guy named Forrest who has a nearly identical setup to mine in a hatchback. then there was marcos with his coupe with those sick sick sick wheels and turbodave headers on it. all 3 cars eat babies and make children weep.
