If you're going to do a swap I would suggest staying away from those twin turbo legacy motors. I know a guy doing the swap on WRXAtlanta (which you should join, btwOriginally Posted by Oz10

I would go with a modern STi shortblock and the 6 speed if you want to do a swap....it'd be expensive, but you'd have the planet's biggest sleeper. If your car is already turbocharged from the factory (which idk if it is....) you could always do a vf39 (or similar) upgrade with a TMIC or a FMIC setup.
That said, I love your car. I saw it in person at this one sonic meet. It's a freaking classic. And I love the brembos!

So, for now I might do a couple more suspension mods (endlinks, front sway bar etc.) and maybe an underdrive pulley. But other than that I'm happy with the way the car is for now.
