so basically from what you are saying (which was understood pre-my post) that because a 350z uses a different chassis and nothing from the previous Zs its no longer a Z?
Just because the GTR doesnt have the skyline name doesnt mean its not a skyline, did the r32, r33, and r34 GTR come all wheel drive? Did they come turbo? So what you are saying is that a car, who has the same characteristics and technology, matches that of a previous car, and also shares the "R" chassis code, along with being worldly known as "the new skyline" doesnt have a skyline emblem before the GTR part of the badging, automatically constitutes it as not a skyline?

thats the website that nissan provided for the new GTR. Notice anything in the timeline? Uh oh...its all skylines. Yes, thats right a visual timeline of the history of the NISSAN SKYLINE. Oh jeez, guess whats at the end of the extremly long and detailed list and order of skylines? Uh oh, wait for it...
THE ****ING GTR
you are wrong.
Merry Christmas, and here are some reps to make your holiday more jolly.
PS: Oh, and just to let you know, the Skyline you posted is actually just the japanese version of the G35 Sedan with AWD. Which carries nothing from the previous skylines over to the new G based chassis. Nissan just dropped the skyline name to make it sell.
PSS: By the way, the first skyline wasnt a skyline, it was a 2liter little roadster 2000gt.
