    Default Honda S 800. S2000's Granddaddy. 56k dont

    10k rpm.

Revs to 10,000 rpm with a roller bearing crank. Holds the historic G Production track record at Road America, 3.01, and has done 1.24 at Second Creek and 1.55 at Pueblo. Car came from Guam in 1969 and was stored for many years thru the 70s and 80s and had only 12500 miles on it when it was rebuilt from the ground up by 3R in Denver in the mid 90s. It raced regularly thru the late 90s but has only done a few races since. It has a fresh motor ( less than 1 hour)and is in really good shape all over. Special mods include Ortman 5 speed straight cut box, 62.5 mm high compression lightweight pistons, Yoshimura cams,CR Keihin 38mm carbs, factory exhaust, coil over assist front end, Spax and Konis, all bushings plastic or rose jointed and much more.

actually there was a S500 before the S600, and it had a chain drive between the transmission and rear end.
