What metering mode is your camera set to?

Manual.

Evaluative maybe?

Not sure what that means.

Set it to partial or spot, and meter off of the ground,

hmmm...... not sure what you mean by that.

80% of these shots look overexposed about half a stop. Other than that it all looks great.

Well, I "sharpened" them and also brought the "exposure" up a tad. Thanks for the tips!
