why not just go ahead and sand it and color match and have it done..it shouldnt cost no more than $200

a few reasons actually... its too close to the door to do a proper blend on just that pannel.. i'd have to burn into the door... plus its silver and has a heavy metallic.. so it'll never really match up as well as it does now.. and i'm not ok with that.. trust me i've gone over this **** in my head many many many times.. and its just not worth all of the extra effort for a little sticker

Shaving it is relatively simple, just find a body shop or machine shop that will cut you a strip of sheet metal. You gotta be careful tacking it on though because the heat can warp the thin door skins. Grind down the welld and lay on some filler over the new strip then spend a few hours sanding it all down.

If you're putting on a turbo I doubt it will do well in Auto-X, you'll HAVE to put an LSD in it or it definitely won't ever get traction coming out of a turn.

I know what is involved in shaving it.. but thats too much work for something that doesnt look all that much better than stock.. i'd rather just put the molding back on and not risk warping the metal

as for the autocross.. it'll do just fine with a turbo and open diff... just cant go with a big top end turbo.. gotta go with a much smaller unit with a quick spool. i co-drove my friends open diff turbo GSR in michigan for three years in autocross with no problems.. its all just for fun anyways
