    Default Home-made JDM tails

Here are some pics of my latest project.

Converting my USDM Z32 tail lights to JDM-spec.

    The "Before" shot

    MMmmm.....smells good.

    Let the prying begin

Tossed out the old orange crap, and popped in the clear goodness.

Pinstripping the inside of the of the lense

Painting away the marks I made will prying the tail light apart

    Sandwiched back together

    Back on the stove

Now thats it been put back together and cooled off, I wetsand the imperfections outta it.

    Polish. PlastiX is gud ****.

Viola! One down, one more to go.

Now done. This took 4 hrs.

    My Z with USDM tails

Now with the ones I just made in my kitchen, big diff eh?

    Real JDM tails

    Total cost (Including Pull-a-part tail lights)= 40$
    Real ones= 495$

PM me if you want more detailed instructions on the project.

Looks great, and for the price, can't be beat.

If my assumption is correct, you live here in Georgia. So unless you did this tail light mod in someone's home in Japan, these are not homemade JDM. They are JDM replica USDM lights. They look good, too. Later, QD.
