Not much of a update but I decided to install a 94 Acura Integra cluster in my CRX. I bought all the stuff to install it and it all should be here in a week. Cluster, cluster plugs, 96+ civic VSS and the Vss plug all for around $115.

That'll look pretty good man. Keep it going!
nice project man ...even tho it IS a honda....people like you give me hope of eventually getting my 240 underway
Awesome job! I really enjoyed reading your thread.
Thanks theirs much more to come.
Not much happening with my rex right now I've been working to much latly.
I did order the srp pistons, rings and a new oil pan this morning.
Also bought some new tools cylinder hone and a ring compressor.
All I really need is break in oil and a new torque wrench and I'll be putting it together.
I like the gauge thing... I honestly have never seen that one. I mean, I've seen the S2k gauge in CRX's and all but never Integra gauge cluster.
I like the look of them and its not to hard to make them work in the CRX. Plus the tach is larger and it lights up much better than the 20y/o crx cluster.
lol
It has begun. So far I've spec.ed the main bearings and there all within spec. I've also honed the cylinder walls. That all tonight. I got to figure out why the SCAT rods wont freely slide down the piston bore and then spec the rod bearings.

My not be able to work on it tomorrow because I'm getting a bike and if I get approved by the bank I'll be spending most of the day at the DMV.
Also anyone know witch way the SRP pistons go in. The valve releafs are different on each side.

Mike looking good man
Thanks
I never got a chance to get the tool for my grinder to notch the block. With the down payments on my bike and insurance for my bike I have no money to get the grinding bits. I'll have to wait 2 weeks and then I'll get them to notch it.
looking good bro
+1 for going with good brand name shiz* I wanna see a video of this beast
if im not mistaken intake reliefs go towards the back of the block
im pretty sure double check with srp

Started notching the block for the H beams and got sick of it and took a break. I've only done 4 of them as of right now and its slow going. I think they might need more but I'm going to do all 8 then test fit everything to see if they clear.

so much better man, keep up the good work!:goodjob:
i see you have the motormount inserts which kit did you go with? im thinking about picking up a set myself
I'm running the energy suspension inserts. They work great but expect your car to start vibrating and rattling from the motor.
Throw that tripod hone in the garbage, get a ball hone.
im not worried about that because my car shakes and rattles now lol which inserts does that come with all of them including tranny mounts?Quote:

good idea my tranny mount is shot so i was just wondering
