I like the balanced feel of RWD, but you're right. There are some sexy FWD cars, the Del Sol you own, a 3000GT, etc. Is it at least safe to say that the Civic wasn't designed to be a sports car, but rather a family car that gets good gas milage and that makes it a lot harder to imagine as a machine of Sex appeal? I'm sorry, I don't see the craze with Civics, every owner I've ever talked to (in person, not all civic owners in general, maybe just the ones I know) say "It's quicker than you think it'd be. You'd be surprised" but I always am surprised, but not by the speed, but by the lack of speed after all the hype I'm given. I honestly don't see the attraction. It's a car with lego-like part compatibility that is lightweight. Good combination, if you have the money. I say start with a sportier platform if you're gonig for a sports car. nothing wrong with wanting a sensible car that can zip around a lot, but a purebread? sorry even the Sis aren't up to par for that.

Yet there is Civic Type R, Civic Si's, similar engines in the RSX's off the Honda's. You and every other other RWD nut swinging **** is the reason I keep wanting to get out of "the scene." You all think that what "the people" drive is the **** and there aint nothing better then that. Sure you are RWD, sure you might have a "drift car", sure you might have turbos, but about 80% of all you RWD nut swinging have a ****ty lookin car. I go upto and I see all the boosted 240's and RX-7's and its more like 1 out of 10 looks clean outside. All the others are ****. And wtf is so sex about RWD? Your definition of a sports car sounds like it has to be a Ferrari or Lambo... so that'll put your rx7 or any fc out there NOT a sports car, cuz I highly doubt you could pull up in it and pick up hot girls or guys (if that's what you're into).

Mr. Honda was smart enough to achieve a quick car with light weight, low power, low cost and a long lasting motor with a potential to make more power. Your's might be RWD, but I highly doubt it could out last a Civic and i know a few Civics or FWD cars that could out run majority of the rwd cars on IA... The Civic might not be a "sports" car, but it's sure as hell one of the top tuner's cars made... Either way, to each their own...

I will say a lot of ricers out there ****ed up civics for me, and to you non ricer civic owners, it's unfair to start you off at -1. Seriously though, all ricer images aside, it takes a CLEAN ass or a FAST as hell Civic to impress me, most out there aren't, the one in this thread has black fenders, and is slammed to a ricey height, sorry, not cutting it. Just because i PREFER the balance of rear wheel drive, I'd let it get away with the fenders if it had RWD(that slamming is hard to forgive though). I'm entitled to my opinion and if you can't handle an opinion that happens to dislike your car you shouldn't be on the internet. As for Type R civics, let me add a big "LOL". Last time I checked, this was Import ATLANTA, type R Civics are only sold in Japan, those are fast. I'm still trying to figure out why people think that FWD 3000gt's are sports cars. I haven't been to that many automotive sporting events, but I've never seen one thats anything other than a straight line car. Id rather have a civic over a FWD 3000gt anyday.

LAst time I check, people used the CTR engines and put them in our slow ass American spec shells and made them into beasts. And even tho this is US and not Japan, there are plenty of CTR runnin around the US. Hell, take a look at what my man rupertaker has been posting. Nothing but Type-R's, Type-R Shells, and he even sold a CTR. But there is nothing more to discuss on this situation because it'll just go back and worth and wont lead to anywhere.

The first one has mexi-tint (superdark, another craze I'll never understand) once again (and I don't see how you don't see this) it looks like the suspension is broken, it doesn't stand out to me at all. You could ask just about any guys on the Rx-7 forums, and we'd hate that so it's not just me. Maybe we're assholes but Civics are OVER RATED. Get over it, if you own one, your ownership is blocking you out from seeing it.

I bought my car because it is one of the best/cheapest for what I want to to with it, road race. Which for some reason always passes right through a FWD owner's mind, all they care about is straight line speed, which is the only thing FWD can do mildly well without extensive/expensive chassis modification.

BTW, I've got a stock Turbo car, want to put $500 on 3 laps at Road Atlanta? Then we can see how much "faster" your rex really is.
