Everyone that knows Porsche and their history, knows that the "poor man's Porsche" is the 914. Not the Boxster. Later, QD.

Of the early 70's yes, then the 924 and 944 in the 80's was the "poor mans" Porsche In the 90's+ it was the Boxster. At least the lowest end Porsche today still has the engine in the back
