That's the beauty of the older ones. You have to be a skilled driver to get the most out of the car. If not you can go get your Ferrari or Lambo and cruise in 2nd gear down the strip. Throttle lift is no joke.
No doubt, but they'll still kill you if you aren't entirely, and utterly focused behind the wheel. I love a driving challenge, it's why I bought an AE86; but not everyone can appreciate the challenge as enthusiasts do; hence the overwhelming prevailing of the automatic transmission here in Bush powered America.
