    yea i was just about to post that GM is about start pretty much selling the vauxhall's and the holdens under chevy name in the US. They are goiin back to the RWd V8 sedan in most of ther cars in the future..

    yep,seem like GM is trying to compete with the german cars...hell even the new impala is RWD

    We might be waiting a little longer to see a RWD version. According to C&D, the next generation Impala has been halted for the time being.

    The Pontiac G8 and the Chevy Camaro are still a go—barely—but uncertainty over possible strict new fuel-economy regulations has jeopardized plans for a rear-wheel-drive Chevy Impala and other vehicles from this architecture.

    Cadillacs have used the Northstar setup for years...

    huh? they're already been several front engine front wheel drive V8's....

    IIRC, it wasn't saying it's the first time it's been done ever.

    Edit: Found it...

    The most notable news about the model, though, is the SS model's use of the Generation IV small-block V8 in a front-wheel drive Chevrolet for the first time, and the first V8 in a Chevrolet sedan since the 1996 Caprice.
    Left out the Gen IV part.
