    Default How to build a SEMA car in 20 days: Batlground Diary

    Ok, so we get the call that KONIG wants us to pimp Dans car out and put it in their booth for SEMA.

    Well we felt it would be cool to show you what we are going through to get the car done, especially since most of you wont be going. So this is a piece of SEMA coming to you so to speak.

    1 week ago the car looked like this and drove:


    TODAY:

    Sanding primer sucks




    Holes welded up, Enjay bay smoothed and tubbed



    Inside stripped





    Doors


    Shop Dog eating his lunch


    Ready for Paint





    BACK FROM PAINT

    Engine bay and interior got done last night/today. Battleship GREY i think is the color. Today we install the LEXAN windows are awaiting the body kit before it goes back for exterior paint.

    The NEW KONIG GANGSTER WHEELS


    Dan has been doing the wiring harness for the last few days, i dont even know where to start.

    Hes been cutting a bunch of wires out, almost 200, so the car will only run on what is absolutely neccesary and make the wire tuck that much easier. TO give you an idea of what a project it is:






    Today we are fitting the body kit:

    GOt most of the body kit done, the front end conversion was a PIA.

    Lexan windows with the Metal Brackets we had to make

    Polished the Intercooler and random Aluminum pieces



    Wrapped the Fire Wall



    Test fitted and installed the Suede Wrapped Dash




    Body Kit Primed and Ready for Install

    10-18-07 ARRIVES AT PAINT











    10-19-07

    Got the car back from Primer and installed the motor late last night after cleaning it.





    Switching over all the lines to AN and we should have the car cranked, wet sanded and the body parts put back in in time to have it sprayed Monday

    Finally cranked the car and messed with the AEM


    This is why we keep dan so skinny and small (IE we dont feed him) Hes perfect for those tight wiring jobs





    Heres the 4in Aluminum Exhaust we made, straight pipe, loud, shin kicker
