I think it was posted somewhere else. I love 510s and all but I would NEVER pay 28k for it.

Might be a hell of a car...but collector item in my opinion is a 67 shelby mustang....and not a 510. I would love to have one dont get me wrong...but there are a lot more things I could find to spend 28k on. Like land, a NEW car, etc.

Wanting a 510 (like half of this ****ing board it seems) and knowing about 510s (this one in particular) are two different things. You ask anyone who knows about 510s in the south east about "Yellow Fever" and this car will come up. Is it worth $28k? IMO it is worth at least $20k. Would I buy it for that price if I had the money? Faster than you can say 510.

well it just ended and the reserve wasn't met. i have only live here in the south for about a year and i don't go to car shows and event much so i haven't heard about yellow fever but now i do. great little car and great project. looking at the pics i know it's time consuming and lots of work had been put in. props to the builder.

the same reason i'd pay 10k for a 240, people will pay 28k for the 510. hardwork, time, effort, money, and things you can't do yourself, or just dont have the patience for.

simply put. its a damned rare/gorgeous car and collectors/enthusiasts will jump all over it if they want to.
