Hmm, non-stock color? I've seen Yellow WRX's but they're like a banana faded yellow.Originally Posted by CH@Dbee

I have mild/street cams. Not anything much bigger than stock. I could've went with bigger cams but I wanted low-mid range power.Originally Posted by MIKE.P

Gains of 25-40whp (depending on Turbo) have been seen by simply bolting the S1 cams in. Designed for a rev range of 3000-8000rpms, these cams work well on the stock valve springs. 300-450whp camshaft."
"S1 Specs gsc-6009S1

Your cams....
HKS 280/280....

Lift of 10.8mm
Exhaust

Lift of 10.2mm"
Designed to rev to 10,100K
Now u can tell the difference between my cams and yours.I built my car with daily driver/usable power in mind. Hence the reason I'll probably only upgrade to a 20g or Gt30(both spool like stock turbo).
Now..... I can always upgrade to a topend cam, but I love how hard my car pulls out of the hole and thru hard cornering.Plus I don't plan on going big turbo.
Let me get my new boost controller and we'll run again. It's all in the fun.![]()
this sounds like an excuseOriginally Posted by koffebean00
my car pulls like a mother outa the hole..um my car pulls hard through corners....i didnt sac. really any low/mid end power and or drivability. and i have a VERY usable power band...soooooooo no excusses....you still have the mivec and 300 lbs lighter over me......

You do realize that Mivec is not like VTEC..... right. I think ur a little confused.
um i know exactly what it is..all mivec does is when the car reaches around 3500 rpms it adjust the cams and leans the car out..no extra cam lobes like vtec...Originally Posted by koffebean00

but yeah my cams do come i a little later than yours but mabey by 500 rpm's so i didnt really lose any low end grunt...but when are you ever at low end other than when you take off.....racing, road coarse, blablabla, you never get below 4000rpms...my cams come in at 4000...so the cams i have are nothing but in my power band..the only advantage your cams would have over mine is from a dig for about a split second.....you should went with biggers cams.....you were worried about lossing low-mid range but when you or i are driving hard we never see below 4000 rpms.....so your cams come in lower than your workable powerband...
Watch an in car vid of an Evo or really any car in autocross, mountian run, or open track event and you'll see that in alot of corners you do actually come down in rpms below 4k. I'm not trying to argue with u or start a who's got better "highway roll" cams thread. I bought my Evo to have the best of both worlds, staright and curvy roads. Now you've ridden with me and have seen me drive my ass off in corners to know that. Everyone that knows me knows that. I didn't buy my Evo to try and be street racer king or Highway roll king. If that was the case then I bought the wrong car.
Now..... I made my choice of cams to the power range and goal I wanted to be in and with the turbo I have in mind. I don't plan on going crazy and trying to go big turbo so I can just dump more money into a motor build etc. etc..... with all the problems that come with big turbo.
Now I'm done going back and forth young grasshopper. Just Chill and have fun. You're taking this way too seriously. You're getting offended for no reason at the wrong person.
Some sick lookin cars guys!
come-on this is all in good fun....im just saying that my car isnt any slower in the corners or off the line than yours...(well it is cause of drivers)and i completty agree with the street racer king...i deff love the curvey roads.... the only thing that can explain what happened yesterday was yeah my cams are more top end cams...i deff was not offended just trying to defend my self in front of everyone...when this coulda been brought up in the private section with the vids....anyway bastard..hit me up later...
