Some things I'm working on

For those who dont know or care I hit a deer last week and messed up the front end of my car, suprisingly the insurance company has been very helpful in putting my car back on the road even though it is completely modified. The deer ended up causing $5,000 worth of damage so I may be taking up deer hunting as a new hobby this fall.

Damn it just breaks my heart to see that picture. Well my car is twin turbo'd and the intercooler never got direct airflow and the temperatures under the hood stayed pretty high so I've decided to go with a top secret replica bumper and CF vented hood:

Couldn't find a Top Secret bumper on a black G so this is the best I could find.

I have a friend that does an AMAZING job on headlights, he originally put bmw projectors for my low beams but now he's going to do that plus put M3 bi-xenon's for my fog lights/high beams so I wont miss the next deer that jumps out at me:

D&D Customs will be painting the whole car so the paint job will look perfect, hopefully everything will be done before SELOC's car show. I was looking at finding sponsorships but I've pretty much done everything out of pocket up to this point so I dont know what else can be done other than rebuilding the engine.. and I'll be able to do that next spring.

it's good to hear that the insurance company is helping you instead of trying to make it hard for you. that should look really sweet when its all back together again. does your friend do all sorts of headlights? cause i might have a few questions for him

yeh man if you could, thanx. i've been doing some research myself on the hids but doing it for my first time i dont want to mess anything up. no prob on the nws threads, more to come!

Thanks for the compliments! After some thought I'm scrapping the hood.. I think the vented hood takes away from the luxury so I'm just going to stick with stock.

I've had a CF stock hood before and because the stock hood is actually aluminum there really isn't much of a weight difference..and I have a stock hood sitting in my garage.

stock aluminum hood > carbon.

i had a FG hood for my miata for a short time and it was actually heavier than the stock hood.

You know, that was one of the things that crossed my mind after the accident.. that was going to be my first show ever and was really looking forward to it

To get it done I hear some people are quoting $2k-$3k.. that is for the G35 though. I've been getting a lot of pm's for the guy that did the headlights, unfortunately he's not doing the headlight thing any more because its too time consuming for him so this is the last set he did.
