forget about that guy being a dick.
his guages are ugly though.
i just bought some textured black paint at autozone and just got done stripping the entire cover. I might polish the lumps and texture the indentions. I dont know I'll take pics of the progress to show you what is happening.

Just strip it and clean it really good -- nothing wrong with raw aluminum...it will look just like the head and block
