    Have fun w/ that one. I think the one from Z gives you some extra HP on top of being polished

    all you're really doing is sanding it. start w. a low grit like 100, then go to 240, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, then go to metal polish...

    might be easier if you have a dremel

    Polishing a honda valve cover is easy...

    Polishing some SI wheels, kinda easy...

    Polishing that Z32 intake plenum, not so easy

    alot of work, pack of sandpaper is like $4, 8 diff. grits probably be around 35

    100- 220- 400- 800- 1000- 1500 then 2000 and polish.

    you dont have to use 2000 on metal. thats what metal polish is for. you use it for cars just to skip the rubbing compound step. I just finished my fender and hit it w/ 2000 and went straight to the hi-speed polish.

    It would be a hell of alot better and easier to use those bench grinders and attach some polishing discs and get some of them compounds. thats how people usually do their V8 valve covers in the custom shops

    true.. i was wondering if i should have said 2000.

    never polished an intake manifold before but i have polished floorboards on my old 74 VW beetle.

    yeah...

    to tell ya the truth, if you're using that bench grinder, you could probably stop after 600-800 w/ the sand paper. as long as the metal is smooth, the scratches will buff themselves out
