    Default Best Looking Engine Bays

I'm gonna say whatever for this one...factory and...non-factory. What do you think are the best looking engine bays.

    Alfa Romeo's 3.2 liter V-6 is SEXY.

Bentley Continental GT/Flying Spur. Those little bolts have the Bentley "B" embossed in the heads.

Of course...GM's LS1/2/6/7. They all look the same, but I like the LS7's red heads.

    The Ferrari 599's V12 is gorgeous...perfectly symmetrical.

Ford Mustang Mach 1...only for the shaker hood. I like the scoop.

Ford Taurus SHO. Laugh all you want...I think it looks bad-ass.

Lamborghini Diablo 6.0. I like the gold.

McLaren F1...again, the gold. That was real 24k gold...probably the reason this car cost so much.

Pagani Zonda F. I love the car...and it's got an engine worthy of display. I love that brace.

Rolls Royce Phantom. It looks very sinister...matches the exterior well.

Spyker C8...same reason. Everything on this car is a work of art. Yea, it's an Audi V8...but they prettied it up well.

I definitely like this one for the header. Saw it in person at the Varsity.

There was also an RSX block with a painted head...looked like plates of metal bolted together. I remember seeing it on here and that paint-work looked cool as shit! Post the picture if you know what I'm talking about.

One of the reasons the McLaren F1 was so expensive is that the exhaust is it's crashbar for the rear.

Ah good...hah, I almost thought that I posted yours...it was a Del Sol, and I thought "Dirty Octopus" came from the way that header looked.

Good thing I didn't mention any names.

If you want to split hairs...the McLaren's and the Phantom's are both BMW V12 engines. Speaking of which...I really like the 850CSi's V12.

    HypnoToad...+1 for the Lotus Esprit!

    Oh wait...I can +2 now!

Six2Six I can't stand how Lexus covers ALL of it up. Interesting though...plus it helps for sound-deadening.

    KDM...take the cover off! Haha

    ATL86...DAMN!

I love the LS2...don't miss the eagle!

Good call on the Carrera GT.

I knew someone would post the Veyron's block. That is an impressive piece of engineering...however, I think it looks a bit plain. I bet if I saw it in person...my thoughts would change. I wonder how big they are.

    That last one is CRAZY.

The second one I like, just because it's strictly engine.

So I think for me, a sexy engine bay has...

    -Badging
-Shiny twisty headers, either chrome or discolored from heat
-ITBs! Thank you Eric for explaining what those were.
    -Symmetry

Yep. The only ITBs I've heard prior to these have been on Hondas. This car definitely had it's own unique sound.
