so why is there a lifter just laying in there like that?

thats the repair, lmao. My car has been screwed up and i have yet to find the problem till now. I ran the car with the valve cover off and notice one of my pushrods was not moving. So i tapped it to see if it just may be stuck then it fell down a little. So at that point i began removing everything on top pulled the intake mani off and found a lifter on the complete opposite side of the engine-lol. I found out the guy who put my cam in didnt change the lifters ASSHOLE. Not too upset tho gave me a chance to clean everything, as u can it was pretty nasty. So im gonna get some sandpaper and sand my valve covers down, i dont like the blue that was painted on them when it was rebuilt, and its already peeling, i cleaned the intake mani best i could came out a looot cleaner. Then lifers in, and hopefully that should fix my problems.
