He got caught up in the net. Cops see a hot car (yes even a stock STI is considered hot) get in an accident and they assumed, since his car was so nice and tricked out, that he just HAD to be racing as well. So they arrested him as well. The subie guy probably didn't tell them otherwise so they arrested him "Just in case" he had anything to do with it. When he passed them, the Subie guys friends probably told the cops that he was racing them.Originally Posted by ATL86
Thats how it goes down. The only problem are these:
1. You said the cop put down that you were racing? Your insurance probably won't cover it, his probably won't either. So you are going to have to sue him whether you want to or not.
2. Racing once again will not win any sympathy points in court with the judge. What you need to do is get the charge changed or at best, dropped. then you can go on with the rest of it.
The cop putting racing on there will screw you over more ways than you can think. Especially in this day and time. Either way, glad you are ok and sad to see your car get the shit end of the stick because I really liked that car. So nice and clean and the color was sweet. Good luck on it.
