    Default my build!

    some more pics

when i took out the engine...

engine sitting on a little trolley

    pulled off the intake/exhaust mani's

The bare block turned around...im building this on the floor..no engine stand :wgaf:...2 of my friends offered for me to borrow theirs but idk never got around to it...

another shot of the bare block

The table of the entire bottom end waiting to be put in after my ACL bearings get here...

My room with the entire top half of the engine...yes this is where i sleep.

A drawer full of ziplock baggies labeled with parts to exactly where the go on the engine. over 40 bags.

my dresser with parts from the engine bay (intercooler piping, strut bar , heater hoses and alternator/starter)

the upper oil pan...cleaned the outside with Engine Brite degreaser and the inside with gasoline...did the same with the lower oil pan also..gas..(this is below the table with the bottom end parts, radiator, driveshaft and shroud are sitting around here too)

if anyone is wondering why im building its because i spun a rod bearing in cylinder 3 coming home from last varsity.

..hopefully it should be done before the next one..

ordered ACL bearings...should have been here already but stupid memorial day
ordered headgasket. should be here tomorrow
bought a new crank because mines was fubar.
bought new rods and pistons because my cylinder 3 rod was bent.

I'd be pissed if mine did that - i drive conservatively for the most part - but it gets kicked when it needs to be.

yeah, the motor has around 50~60k, from what ive read and heard, SR20's have an oiling problem in cylinder 3 and are real oil hungry...turbo was eating oil, i think i had a bad front seal..alot of blow by so yeah it was deprived of oil.
