eh oil light wasnt on...
i just took out the entire engine OUT and the intake and exhaust mani's and heater hoses..../////perseverance for what it counts.lmao.

it started and that was the best feeling...drove it around and heard tapping again...ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh give me another week for parts to get here
damn kid
jerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry why didnt you tell me this would happpppen
not entirely sure if the culprit is the oil pump or bearings but likely , yes....
maybe bent valves...ill be sure tomorrow

as i said above who is gona pay for my hardwork??/ u nah i dont think so
pulled off the head
pulled the oil pans , front cover ,....basically a bare block...
after i pulled the pan i found this little metal tooth that chipped off from the front cover in the oil...theres 2 little teeth at the bottom of the cover , could this be the knocking?
pulled the upper pan , from what i can SEE the bearings look fine....theres no play in the rods and caps so wtf?
Very nice, +3
lmao manic...
i just tore apart the entire bottom end...looks to me like one of the rod cap nuts was loose....the rod cap itself was halfway closed...all the bearings look fine.
took off the girdle for further inspection...one of the ROD CAP NUTS WAS LOOSE WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
i told u frm the begining that nut was loose u dont fuckin listen to me
before i even took out the engine right
you put in ACL bearings right? lolol
might as well throw some ARP rod bolts on there this time around they aren't that expensive
also, when you put the head bcak on did you adjust the valves again that coulda been the ticking... if it was top end tick lol instead of the knock.
but yeah good to hear that its solved and no joke i dont remember meeting you ( i have a bad memory) Sammy?
sami he is not the FAt guy we met with atif man he is someone els:)^^6
Looks good.
WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl
i finally found the courage , determination , strength , will , power , perseverance and all that good stuff to put my drive shaft in...lmfao...
car drives nice as fuck , pulls alot harder then before , but my starter is going out :(
stupid money pit 240's....and SR starters are one of a kind, what are the odds of that.
Who the fuck builds a motor and leaves rod caps loose?
apparently he did:(
Glad to hear you are back up and running.

yeah man it was my first build and i totally accept the mistake...but it runs good now...
except for the HLA's having air in them from the head being turned upside down n shit...
it will need a starter ( I think) because it starts up with a full charge of battery but no less...
does anyone know if the SOHC internals will work with the sr's starter housing
wow man u have quite a build here... i bought one of these as well actually a week after u said u were gonna come look at my m3...mines gonna be on the road in about 2-3 months but i didnt keep it stock:D ....ya i still got the m3
at least it wasnt to costly of a lesson learned congrats
