Looks good. How much did the conversion cost?

i'm not sure how much it cost...but it took him a while to do it. The fitment of the front clip onto the car was a bit challenging.

Nice car but I get so tired of people calling 240's Silvia's. Its a nice conversion but it still only a conversion.

I agree with you. Calling a 240 a silvia wouldn't be appropriate. Therefore i made a point in mentioning that this car is only a silvia conversion...otherwise known as the poor man's silva....hehe.

As far as silvia conversion, it's definitely not rare anymore. However, it was quite rare when my friend first got the front clip many years back. We're just too poor to really put it together in a timely manner. Still, i'm so glad his car is running right and looking decent.

Read above, it's a 240. A Left hand drive 240sx powered by or once powered by a KA24. It's a 240, you build a house on top of it and it's still a 240, put wings on it and it's still a 240

    Here's an RX300

If I put a Harrier grill and mirrors on it does it automatically make it a Harrier? What if I put a Lexus grill on a Harrier, would it then be an Lexus RX300? They're a whole lot more similiar then a 240 vs. Silvia.

OMG people are retarded these days. Who cares what the fuck people call it. If you want to call it a 240 good for you. If you want to call it a Silvia I don't care. Everyone knows what they mean by saying it's a Silvia or 240. Everyone who's like, "Nuh uh, it's not a Silvia 'cause it's not JDM," is a fucking childish loser. Let people call it what they want to. Do you people even think about how stupid you look when you freak out and try to pull out facts of how it's not a Silvia? Get a life you fucking morons.

I think its funny you say that and yet you have "AE86" for your name. Considering there were no actual "AE86" chassis cars shipped here (not special imported) and that all usdm GT-S corollas are AE88.....

Actually, it is an AE86. It says AE86~0098901 on the left side of the firewall.

BTW, that post was completely irrelevent and had nothing to do with a Silvia at all.

That's funny, I don't feel stupid at all. The fact is that car was not made for Asia or Europe, it's 100% for North America with a 17 digit VIN number...it's a 240sx. Just like North American 300zx is a Fairlady Z. Besides, the S15 rear looks like a Pontiac and is quite possibly the ugliest vehicle made by Nissan short of the Pulsar

Could I be hypocritical by removing all badging on my car and putting a single H on the rear? Probably, but it was manufuctured by Honda North America with a Honda engine and says Honda on the door jamb...fortunantly the overseas counterparts share the same model name even though I wouldn't call it anything but an Integra.

oh yeah, calling a 240sx a Silvia is no differant than a Civic or Integra owner calling/badging their vehicle a Type-R, even with my engine I will never do it.

Who looks retarded now calling it something it isn't?

I'm not saying the facts aren't true. What I am saying is it is really stupid that everyone always has to point out that it's a 240sx rather than a Silvia. That to me is more annoying than people calling it a Silvia rather than calling it a 240.

I said the left side not the right, and it's engraved into the actual firewall not the VIN plate. You want me to take a picture for you?

That's a pretty hot 240SX with extra stuff on it. got any more pics of it.

240sx's are LHD. Silvias, S15's, PS13's, ONevia's, etc.. are RHD. Simple as that. It really only comes down to what people let you get away with. Sometimes I call my Mazda6 an Atenzza. It makes me feel more cool and JDM. Other days I call it a Mazda6...normally Tuesdays. Does it really matter. Next Thursday, I might call it a Boosted Turd until the end of the month. Around November, I'll be calling it a family sedan. What does it really matter.

Back to the original poster, MORE PICS.
