STETTEN, Germany — Novitec Rosso has come up with an "Evoluzione" update for the Ferrari F430 that manages to squeeze another 20 horsepower from the twin-supercharged V8.
In its latest state of tune, the 4.3-liter unit produces 656 hp and 488 pound-feet of torque, thanks to some tweaks to the engine management system and the superchargers. Acceleration from zero to 60 mph takes less than 3.7 seconds, and top speed clocks in at 216 miles per hour.
In addition to the Rotrex compressors, the go-faster bits include Brembo brakes, KW dampers and Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires (19s in front, 20s in the rear). There is also a stainless-steel exhaust system and a set of custom alloy wheels.
The Novitec aero kit consists of a front apron, rear diffuser and rear wing. Novitec also upgrades the cockpit with leather and Alcantara, plus an aluminum pedal set.
What this means to you: All of a sudden, the stock F430 begins to look anemic at only 490 hp.
