I've actually cooked mine also. it helps the paint cure better i guess. havent had any problems with it except for the first time we didnt clean all of the old oil of the under side of the valve cover and the whole house smelled like burned oil..lol...
when i was readaing on honda-tech on how to do it it said to bake it so thats what we went with..
