Ok, so i understand this car has been around the block more than once on IA.com, and yes it's had its share of problems. But it's mine now and all the kinks are worked out and she's a badass platform for me to start my build on.
I just picked her up about 2-3 weeks ago and my first order of business was ripping out the weak LS that was under the hood.
Last weekend i pulled her out and dropped in my favorite honda motor. The motor that most honda enthusiasts are highly uneducated about. The motor that most ppl make non-fact based claims about the issues that they have and how the sleeves suck and they can't take the abuse of a B, etc... The Torquey, Beast, powerful, and CHEAP H22.
I grabbed up a Jdm H22a w/lsd tranny option from Hmotorsonline.com. Now this is not my first H swap into eg/dc and certainly will not be my last. The H22 is way more capable than any other honda motor in making All Motor horsepower. That is, other than the K. But let me compare.... K series swap = 6k for 190-200whp. H series swap = 3k for 180-190whp. I know the K makes a lot more power across the powerband than the H, but for the 6k that the K cost to swap i could be making over 250whp N/A on the H22, so until the K's get cheaper, i'll stick with my H22's.
We only did a few basic modifications to get the platform setup for the future build. Given that this is my daily driver at this point i can't take the time to leave it outside the car and build it all at once, so, I will build it in stages.
This is my stage 1 so far, just minor upgrades and free hidden power.

All the H-series haters, hate on.....
PICS: ......Note, the only pic of me is the one where i am reassembling the intake manifold while kneeling on the floor. The other guys are friends and fellow members of www.Carolinahondas.com
