the 2nd one looks like it is just a hood? kinda like the ones that some of vw guys have.

Good call. They are pretty common on gti's. We call them boser hoods.

There are a few ways you can do that. You can get a hood extension or a new hood.

The extension pieces are cheap and you can either mold them to your hood or you get metal pieces you can weld on your hood.
