    Default Talon TSi project

I've just picked up a 1gb Eagle Talon TSi FWD and am going to fix it up. Here's the beginning pictures. I'll update with pictures as I do work.

    Talon: Project car
    Eclipse: Donor Car

Are you swapping the engine from the Eclipse into the Talon??? It doesn't look like a 4G63!

No, not the engine. I hate the 4G37 and its 92 ponies. I'm going to get a 4G63T and an EVO III 16G turbo, FMIC, etc. I just gotta save my pennies and get that stuff first lol.

It is most definitely a dedicated project. I'm picking up an engine probably this friday. Going to rebuild that engine and stuff then put it in. I have no job, so soem stuff may take a while. Since this afternoon, I've got a lot more done too. I've got carpet ready to put in and seats tomorrow. This is spring break for me, so I've got a lot of time to work on it.

you gotta put the fog lights in off of the 1.8, clean them up a little, also something i learned, you can use the door panels from the non power windows, just put the caps off on the center console over the holes, the ones that go on top of the screws on the side...if you know what im talking about. awesome progress, wish i would've had the time/money for it...

Yeah, those big plugs that go over the carpet on the side of the console. I was just wondering how to get the non power window door covers on one with power windows

Updates should be around soon, I'm selling my 12's and getting some money for the transmission and the random little parts I need.

Sorry for the big pictures, but here's the current state of the car.
-Nearly finished interior... need rear 6x9's and a console, but I have all the seats etc in there now.
-Picked up an engine. 6-bolt 155K. Soon to rebuild it.
    -Fixed door handle

Also, I had the 93 Eclipse hauled off to a junk yard. I'm now down to 2 DSM's.

haha, i owned that thing. we couldn't even get the motor on the mount. there were 4 of us tweaking on that thing, but it was too tight of a fit and it was raining and shit, so we just sat in in there and left it alone.

i do however, need to get a ride in your mustang

Yeah, so I'm done with this thing now that I'm in college, I didn't get to finish it, and I'm selling it here very soon.

    Sorry to disappoint any watchers.

Ok, so I didn't sell it and now have finally got back around to this thing after moving and starting college. I have finally picked up a hood for it and today I did a few things to it.

I started with taking the bumper off, putting the headlights on, draining the 4" of water out of the spare tire well, drilling out a couple of broken off bolt studs, cleaned out the interior, put all the parts from my N/T Eclipses (they were in the back) into storage, installed the radiator brackets, put the hood on and a few other minor things. I'm kind of treading water until I can get the center console tomorrow as well as the I/C piping for my SMIC.

Here's a few cell phone pictures, enjoy:

I always liked those cars. OT but I raced one that was lightly modded. AWD launch was out of this world. Had me until 2nd gear.

Keep up the good work man, you're doing something I've always wanted to do.

The Coronet is my dad's project. We're in the process of sanding it at the moment. It's got quite a bit of work left though.
