Ok, im lookin at a Canon Powershot A80. The one I have is my g/f's A75. this does everything the 75 does but its 4mp instead of 3.2. Is the megapixles really gonna matter that much if im shooting w/ a high shutter speed and a tripod?

No but get a camera with more that 4MP though.. 4MP seems to be the low end these days.. Mega Pixels are just tiny boxes that create the picture... The more MP you have the clearer (without blur and noise being factored in) and more detailed the picture will be.. But yea listen to Chad and imbosile about ISO setting and shutter speed.. Tripod is where its @ for long shutter speeds.. Any pic composed longer than a 1/60 shutter ex: 1/2, 1/4 there is a great chance of blur...

Im on a budget as far as a camera, i can aquire this A80 for less than 100. I may just hold off until later. I do plan on investing in a serious camera here when i get my finances straight. like a DSLR, my g/f is doin some video/photography stuff in school and she said she needs one anyway
