    Default My RB Z

    74 260Z
One off full steel widebody, hand fabbed, no kit.
RB25 with 20 trans installed by Tophat Performance.
    16x7 Gunmetal Panasports.
Gutted, fuel Cel, Roll bar, fab dash with full Automoeter gauges.

Car is everything an old school Z should be. Loud as all get out, 6 inch dump pipe out of the o2 housing, no muffler. Fast and a blast to drive.
May sell soon though, getting the itch for something new.

Used to be a V8 car but wiser heads prevailed.

Some old shots with old wheels.

Thanks to my brother Mike Sims and Scott Tackett for all the hard work on the swap.

widebody seems to be good quality work, but i hate it. i love factory body shapes styles and i think u took alot away from that car. ugly.

Yea, people either love it or hate it. There really is no middle ground with that. If it was fiberglass, I would change stuff but with the steel there really isn't much that can be done without extensive mods. Besides, it grows on you. I didn't like alot of it when I got it but love it now. It needs some freshening up paintwise and bodywise but it gets the job done. I'm not into perfect cars anyway. If I keep it, i'm Bass boat blacking it out and adding something to the front in the way of a spoiler.

I'm def gonna sell the wheels. I like em but I want something with 0 offset and an inch wider. Probably list them on here this week, but $600 no tires is what i'll ask for em. Gunmetal Panasports, almost brand new.

    Thanks guys.

It's a 6 inch long dump pipe, 3 inch diameter.

If I sold it I would ask 8k for it. I should have it at Tophats open house this Saturday as long as I get the water pump on in time.

Mr. Liles in Fayetteville had one just like that for a while, it was a nice car, but no power brakes sucked!

I know the look they were aiming for but i don't think it was quite achieved, the amphibious car/john boat front end throws off the wide body...

This one has the frontend it needs...

Yea, I agree. I would much rather he left the front end alone. Seems he was going for the GTO Ferrari front end look when he did it but missed that mark too.

Because of the color the front end sticks out more. After I paint it a darker color it won't be as noticeable.

Jonboat, thats a new one, we always just called it the "Mudskipper". Looks like one of those catfish looking fish that lay in the mud.
