Left = clean / Right = filth:
Time to start removing the old wore tape and replacing with the new stuff:
Removed a lot of the clips that are not needed:
What the **** is this Honda:
Before:
After:
I will be relocating the ECU (kpro). OEM:
Apart:
Looking better:
Complete:
Yeah, I've been told half the wires are not needed with the K swap. So after Nopi I am going to pull the harness from the car and remove / depin EVERY wire not needed. I hear it's close to 20lbs![]()

More pics?!?!?! Here you go.....
A/C & Heat delete - Coolant loop:
The hose cost $8.99 from the local Autozone. You can order it online --> HERE
Before the install:
Installed on a 2003 K20a2 motor:
You will need a clamp for the hose connection on the head (right). The connection on the left is VERY tight and should be fine without a clamp. Of course a clamp would never hurt....
I'm off to bed, good night![]()

clean=Hybrid93Hatchs projekt haha i really mean clean clean he even fcking cleaned his main relay!!! thats dedication man...everyone has to give props to this man he is genius and hard working man and this may be the best thread IA has ever seen and is one of the best step by step ones...just my 2 cents...off to bed i go good night!!!
WE WANT MORE...WE WANT MORE...WE WANT MORE haha
there's a lot of weird shit like that on the K. One thing that eternally pisses me off is my upper rad hose sitting ON my intake pipe right before the TB.Originally Posted by CB7tuner
Also, Hybrid...
what are you pulling out of the harness? I'm assuming this is more of a 'race only' car, since you're deleting AC and heat. I'm sure all the emissions related stuff, but what else?
I can't believe I haven't seen this thread!!!
Very good decision, as meticulous and detail oriented as you are a really good coat of paint will be better than textured undercoating that just collects and holds grime and road debri. I can see you now polishing and waxing underneathOriginally Posted by Hybrid93Hatch

Wish there was a way we could get the undercarriage paint from Europe, it's a paint mixed with Teflon and sprayed on...virtually nothing can stick to it and if it does just a simple rinse with light water pressure takes it off. Due to EPA regulations it's not legal here though
I'm sure i'll post up again as I continue with the thread![]()
Any idea how many pics are in this thread?! I got an idea...
good God!!! quality footage.
this thread is just insane. this is one crazy build. this guys deserves more than 3 rep bars.

Thats dumb!! just becsaue he removed all that ,dont mean its a race car! Their are alot of daily driven hondas that dont have that stuff any longer!!!Originally Posted by KPowerEP3
Usally when people do swaps , they always remove AC and emissions stuff, do a poll, so i guess all those are races car too....
i think ive had a hard on the whole time ive been reading this.... holy FUCKKKKKK!!!!!! i was gonna do some shit to my rex.... but now im thinking of going this route!!!! how much did the paint cost ya?
dude
props
id like to shake your hand someday....
i dont know how to give more than +1 but i dont think it matters.....theres other people for that
Paint is cheap compared to the time spent & labor of prepping everything if you were to pay someone else to do it. Bodywork is just as important at the spray job itself.Originally Posted by SL65AMG

Man, what a project. I'm very impressed.
+1 for you.

NO but the removal of the heater core and doing a heat bypas would be a good hint. Most people DON'T bother with that.Originally Posted by B18c1Turboed
Looks good so far man, can't wait to see the end result!reps for you sir
You guys are awesome with the props![]()
Well, the car is going to be far from a daily driver. It's being built for speed but mostly so to enjoy on my days off when I want to rip around town. I plan to track the car in both drag and auto-x for strictly pleasure.....
Since the car is being built for speed I am removing as much as possible. I will be removing all the unused wires from the wire harness and of course I will have pics of the entire process. This is something that will most likely take place close to winter.....
As far as the hose being close to the header. I'm going to take a look tomorrow and if it's close I may shorten the loop![]()
So, my baby is back home again :idb:![]()

Pics coming & here's what I worked on last night:
Man, the Hasport PDF installation is a waste of space/time and the pictures are about equal to a 1st grader drawing
Basically stuck with a bag of bolts and hardware![]()
I'm putting the pieces of the puzzel together between the HASport instructions and Poison's K20 how-to swap....
Here are the bolts with each labeled with their size:
The nuts and washers:
With the help from K20a.org I was able to figure out most of the bolts, so I deleted the questions.
More to come & thanks for looking![]()
Nopi Drag Racing NHRA Atlanta Dragway March 29/30! > HERE!
Here is the tranny mount installed. Most likely going to leave the 2 OEM studs for now. Probably go back after the show and remove them to install the 2 HASport bolts for a cleaner look:
HASport supplied a spacer for the tranny mount, but looks like they have added it to the mount now. So, the spacer is not needed:

Hey I got a quick question. How much did you pay for the full paint job?
Not much. The materials is what cost me. My bro painted the car, so you know I got hooked up on thatOriginally Posted by NSCredondo

Well, I have a lot of work ahead of me, but things are going smoothly at this point. Tomorrow (Sunday) is a big day.....
So, I present Session 043 (Fridays work). It's been a while since I have posted a session, but to get her done it's going to take many long sessions. Well, let's get to it......
I started the day off by taking pics of this bad mo-fo I scooped from a K20a.org member![]()
![]()
OEM exhaust manifold gasket: (tab goes on the head)
After taking pics I decided to unwrap some of the cabin harness since I won't need most of the wires and they will eventually get deleted:
Cut the tie wrap:
Just start removing $hit and getting really sticky:![]()
Dead weight![]()
Before:
After:
Bunch of useless crap:
Remove the tape and remove the box:
Nice:
Got tired of fooling with the wiring, so I jumped to the seat. The hardware store only had enough for one seat, so one seat was completed. Man, it was a b!tch. Took me at least an hour to put together. $hit has to be lined perfectly or got to loosen the bolts and adjust![]()
Start with a seat bracket and rails mounted:
Cool pic:
12.9 grade:
Seat the sliders need to mount to:
Ready to mount, right?
Took measurements: (tripod FTW)
Looking good:
After 3 adjustments ended up with this:
Then I test fitted the rest of the header while waiting on Pop's to arrive:
Pop's arrives:
Pop's going to work:
Drain the oil:
It's clean:
Drained the tranny:
Extremely clean too:
Pressure washing the motor:
Pop's got sidetracked![]()
Couple of pieces I'm guessing from the car that were somewhere sitting on the motor:
Nice and clean:
Drying with the fan after using compressed air for a bit:
Saturdays work is done. Probably 30 pics to post of that...... They'll be posted tomorrow. Got to hit the sack and get ready for the long day ahead of me.....
Thanks for looking![]()
