Awesome hatch man. :D :goodjob:  :bump:
damn good write up, and a damn sexy car. i know it looks better in person
nice, i love the color! it turned out great... awesome car dude
Thanks again for the props guys.
Hybrid Racing has everything working nicely now and it's on the way back to me. I will reinstall everything and have her towed for exhaust install. Once that is complete I will enjoy her for a few days and maybe get some vdieo footage and posted as well.
I also went through and resized the build pics for posting before she was completed. I will begin to post pictures later this evening to get you guys up to speed on what went down the week before the completion.
Thanks again for all the props :goodjob:

Start with removing "A" and "C" from the shifter cables and discard:

Remove bracket "B" to modify since this is the best bracket to use:

Take the hammer and hit the bracket to flatten it out like so:

I don't know what the bolt is for. It's a 10mm bolt that was holding nothing in place. Maybe before I took the car apart it had a purpose. But, it's in the perfect spot:

Nice clearance:

Closer look at the cable routing at the crossmember:

Another clearance shot. I don't have a pic with the header installed, but the clearance is really good on my SSR header

Inside the bay:

Closer look at the tranny connection (my father shortened the cotter pins for weight reduction :boobies: j/k....he said the length was not correct)

Hope that helps anyone with questions about routing and mounting K series shifter cables
Thanks for looking and more to come :bannana:

You must of misread something because I still have the car. Just sent the wiring and kpro out to resolve the O2 problem..... I'm awaiting the return of the wiring and kpro and then I can drive her :goodjob:Quote:

Session 047 Part 2 of 2:
Modifying the K20a2 engine harness:
There is a lot of clips to remove from the harness:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6396_rs27.jpg
First remove the large white one:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6397_rs35.jpg
Just unclip it:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6398_rs35.jpg
Slit the rubber grommet:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6399_rs35.jpg
Comes off like so:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6400_rs35.jpg
There are 3 of the little green plastic clips that you can remove:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6401_rs25.jpg
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6402_rs35.jpg
Pry using a flat tip screwdriver to open each one up to remove:

How I routed the engine harness to the cabin. That is the heater coolant opening at the firewall. The hole has NOT been modified:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6408_rs35.jpg
Looking at the same hole from the cabin:

D series harness:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6430_rs35.jpg
Wire #1 -- Plug "B" (green/yellow wire) - A7
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6432_rs35.jpg
Cut the wires like so &
Wire #2 -- Plug "B" (green/orange wire) - A13
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6435_rs35.jpg
Wire #3 -- Plug "D" (green/red) - D10
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6436_rs35.jpg
If you unwrapped the engine harness you have this fuster_cluck:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6438_rs35.jpg
Pull the wires you just cut back through so you have length to work with:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6439_rs35.jpg
Oxygen Sensor wiring......
The 4 wires on the conversion harness:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6440_rs35.jpg
Strip the plastic to expose some wire:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6441_rs35.jpg
I don't have the opposite plug to mate with the O2 so I cut the harness off the new sensor. I screwed up by cutting all the four wires even. It's been said the 2 black wires are both grounds so not a big deal to get them mixed up. But, if you have to cut the wires......cut them at different lengths :2cents:

Hybrid Racing Harness --------- Primary Oxygen Sensor
Green ------------------------- White
Red --------------------------- Light Green or Blue if you have the Denso sensor
White ------------------------- Black
Black -------------------------- Black
Cosmetic caps that really make a difference:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6446_rs35.jpg
Put them just about everywhere including the studs of the roll bar:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6445_rs35.jpg
Everything was torqued down and torque stripe added for easy visual check ups:
http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o..._6459_rs35.jpg
Clutch line install. Not sure if the teflon tape was needed or not
