It appears that ECU is mounted right in the bend of the passengers floorboard. Also right on top of the floor mat. I am confused why someone would want the ECU in the center of the floorboard for dirt and feet to hit

Maybe it's for bragging rights as the ECU even has the "HONDATA" sticker on it.

I'd prefer to keep things hidden and let the car moving do the talking or bragging

To each his own though and thanks to whoever mentioned the weather stripping to line the brackets. It's going to that or dynomat

    More to come.....

Well, unfortunately the car is not registered to run Yeah, I am anxious to see how she does in the 1/4 but just not the right time yet. I still need to find a good launch, wider tires, possibly traction bars, and a spare set of axles for the in case $hit happens But, she will be sitting pretty for the show :boobies: Hope to ride in with a lot of my IA buddies

I don't know what the hell you are talking about with the 240, lol. But, glad I am inspiring you If I can do it, so can you

I can't remember if I am to use an o-ring with this plug or not

A long, long time ago I installed this plug because I was installing a 2 way aftermarket fuel rail. Well, with the swap complete, the fuel rail would not stop leaking so I reinstalled the OEM rail and removed the plug for the fuel line to enter the FPR.

So, I am trying to figure out if I have to use an o-ring for the install on the Aeromotive FPR. I believe it's not needed 1) it's not on the fitting 2) I believe the guy at Summit (where I purchased the plug) stated because it's tapered, an o-ring is not needed.

    Here is the fitting:

Here is a pic of the fuel rail reducers:

Another reason I am thinking an o-ring is a great idea

    Thanks for any help

Well, I saw a pic (wasn't the best quality) and they looked pretty bright. When the owner of the bulbs told me they are so bright that you will see the bumper outline (shadow) on the ground.... I figured these must be very close to the Lexus tag lights. The Lexus uses a different bulb style. I'll keep you guys posted with a review and nice pics

Thanks dude!! Really appreciate the feedback and support GOt some new stuff for you and the rest of IA below

Yeah, this thread is in need of an update, so here we go. With the warm weather upon us and the work schedule getting better, she'll be at many of the local meets and shows

    Session 050 (September 09, 2007)

    One of the grounds...

    Pop's installing the ground:

A couple brackets not needed and removed from the K20a2:

Spark plugs that were in the K20:

    Torquing the new plugs:

Used these to cap off various nipples:

    Free rental at Auto Zone:

    Mad Torque:

    Session 051 (September 10, 2007)

    Cutting the lower radiator hose:

Pop's was finally happy with the fitment after this many cuts:

Wires on the conversion harness you splice into: (I will be back with the info on these wires)

Sneek peek of pop's on the grill

Inside working on putting the rear hatch back together:

    PITA removing:

You can see how chewed up this thing became from trying to remove during the tear down:

A wore out, tired, yet determined guy

Late nights FTW or FTL. Man, we put in some serious hours the last 2 weeks

Pop's got camera happy. Me trimming the stock coolant overflow bracket:

    Pop's installing the bracket:

    Fuse box power wire:

Trimmed fuse box power wire (space is limited in the box):

    Valve cover ground:

Checking continuity with the power wire:
    Alternator power goes to ______
Starter power goes to _____ (I'll be back with the answers)

    Session 052 (September 11, 2007):

    Longer fuse box bolts:

    Old vs. New:

Another ground wire in the making:

    Heatshrink:

    Installed:

Pop's working on the lower radiator hose wiring:

I could only watch, so I just took pics:

(HASport adapter is most likely going to be coming out soon though. Going to put the 2 sensors where they are supposed to be )

This is why I like my father working with me. He takes pride not scratching anything and installing parts as if it were his car

    Pretty damn tidy:

Hybrid Racing conversion harness under the driver side dash:

    Wiring up the radiator fan:

    Soldered & Heat shrinked EVERYTHING:

    Harness mounts to the fan:

    ...after a little modification:

    Installed:

    Closer look:

    Pop's working the seat harness:

Nasty ECU bracket I no longer use:

    Cleaned them up anyhow:

    Drilling the harness eye bolts:

    BaconLettuceTomato comes through

What I was in need of:

    Pop's doing some fabricating:

That's it for now!! Will post one more large group which will close out the build up to Nopi 2007. Then the rebuild after the rebuild starts

    Thanks for looking

Thanks Eddie I have been thinking about looking out for a good deal on an s2k. But, then I'm thinking build a K24 CRX monster.... It won't happen until 2009 since I have other things to take care of.

Awesome you've looked at the build multiple times Makes me people like my thread.

Funny you mention that. I always hear it from my brother when we're eating as he says I looked pi$$ed when chowing down, lol.

Thanks dude!! Yeah, I'm getting the itch for another build. No deadlines this time around though so I can relax and just take my sweet time.... That means even more and hell I think I would use the video camera to show different parts of the tear down build up now that I have the mini DV working nicely This won't be until 2009 at the earliest, so I will come back strong with it!!

I'm going to hit the thread with another large update once we reach page 47

Thanks again guys for the comments
