    Default My 626 Turbo

    Just posting this to see what everyone this of the car. Ive had it for about 6 or 7 months. Havent done much to it except boost and air fuel gauge and the mx-6 rear spoiler since Im working on a couple of other cars too, but I do have so parts I need to put on: boost controller, mx-6 rear stru bar, mx-6 rear tie bar, pgt rear sway bar, and I have a set of Talon Black wheels to put on. Let me know what ya think and if you have some ideas let me know!

    yup sure is. havent dynoed it yet but the guys at mx6.com say the car is making 145hp/190ftlb torque at 5psi thats bone stock.

    I wouldnt really consider that a sleeper anymore... 145 horses is nothing anymore.. Now, the torque is pretty decent.

    Work on the motor , up the boost and then see whats up

    i gotta install the boost controller and get a chip to turn it up past 12 but after the boost controller gets installed i will turn it up a little.

    You can tell if its turbo or not by whether it has the chrome window trim or the black window trim, its the same with the turbo MX-6s.
    Black trim - turbo
    Chrome trim - slow n/a

    Looks good though, just don't think you'll fool me.

    once u get the zombie chip.. u will be alot happier. @ 14lb, u will be up around 200hp/290tq. My 90 pgt, was a fun car.. Downpipe, and exhaust will help alot. I would try ot get some Rx7 FD wheels, or 2nd gen Pgt blades. that car has some crazy crazy torque steer...lol

    IF you see the the size of the stock turbo,you'll understand why the horsepower is so low.

    Get a t3/t4 , t4 ,gt28,dam just change the stock turbo,and upgrade the intercooler...It already came with forged rods and pistons.

    nice, makes me wanna boost the se-r so no one expects it


    but mine makes 140 n/a...and only 170 ft/lbs iirc...don't quote me on the torque

    too bad i'm in s.c. i'd like to run just see where there at...but g'luck with your build...boost is always fun

    yea the stock turbo sucks ass its itty bitty. turbo back will be along the way when i get my income tax back. right now i gotta check engine light on and need to replace the egr solenoid so im not running much of anything haha. cant find it anywhere though.

    f2t FTW!!! those motors make crazy power for cheap, internals will hold up to about 400whp daily!
    I spend money on HP not Brand Names.

    new pics of the 626 GT...installed all the misc. parts i had (PGT rear sway bar, mx6 upper rear strut bar, mx6 rear lower tie bar) plus found some 2Gen PGT DropZone springs...oh and i also added some 16" Talon TSI Wheels i bought for dirt cheap! tell me what ya think

    u ever get that zombie chip to get rid of the fuel cut, u get that. You will definately see 250lbs of tq, and be able to puch it to 13lbs..

    it spools really quickly because its too small for the motor...it dies out about 5k.. motor begs for t3..

    thanks thanks...no i never got around to getting the zombie chip...i got a ton of things going on between the three cars and right now this is the only one running so im waiting untill one of the other two are on the road so i can start working on all the things i want with the 626...the miata is down for some odd reason ive yet to find out and well the impala is still not running haha got more parts for it on the way so its edging closer and closer...

    silverprobegt yes the springs work great on the car...thanks man!

    IHI turbo FTL. I think you need to make an adapter plate and put a mustang TB on it. That will get a couple more hp somewhere in the power band. You'll probably loose some bottom end tq, though

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

    Cool car man! My friend's got an old MX6...he quoted the same 145/190 power/torque.

    Looks good though...I like that body style.
