I don't know his suspension set up, but with the right set of dampners that height and the right combination of sway bars will make the car handle great. With certain suspension set ups, they allow you to keep pre load on the spring while retaining the same shock travel, even though the car is dumped. Omnipower for instance, has a preload, you adjust the perch not the spring, so suspension travel is not comprimised. Now when you lose the preload on the spring is when you start having to change the dampning forces on the strut.
