Audi R8...Anyone seen this yet

I have seen it. It's been called the Lemans when it was a concept, but they just change it to the r8. Looks hot. I don't know who will buy it. A $100K Audi. Someone who wants a $100K car that isn't practical will something else IMO.

Theres a couple of AUDI's already in or past the 100K mark.

That car is hot cake.. Problem is... The Media in this country is stupid as hell.
AUDI is up there with all HIGHER end cars... but since the media doesnt help it keeps AUDI cars more on the DL. AUDI's have a strong following.. is like a quite cult...
Since owning my TT I have done alot of reading and learned alot about AUDI's and now have alot of respect for them and consider them to be up there with the "so called" higher end cars.

I saw pics of the R8 a few month back and I think it looks hot....

I know audi has $100K plus cars, I am just saying this is unchartered territory for audi in this as they have not made any $50K up Coupes before except for the audi sport coupe quattro which there was only a few of. I agree that audi is up there with other high end luxury cars and sport sedans but once again they have not made any high dollar coupes.

It's a sick car and worth the money IMO.

not completely true..S4 has runs a lil over 50k$ the RS6 and RS4 was 96k$ along with the previous generation S8 and S6..a lot of these sedans the states got shafted on because Audi would of been pretty much competing with themselves.(RS4-B5)

before i was transferred to Jaguar, Audi had brought in the new V10 powered S8 and S6. The 1st shipments were pre-sold in advance and the when new ones arrived, they were off the showroom floor immediately.
hell we could barely keep any RS4's in stock.

Hmmn, what outclasses it? (yup, the Z06 Vette is insane, but what if it rains?)

This car is meant to be a competitor to the 911.
This car is an everyday sports car/ near super car.

Brochures are availabe, people are ready to put down deposits. not practical the car defines the true essence of AUdi.we all know Audi has recorded countless motorsport victories on race tracks all over the world. Following the rally successes of the Ingolstadt brand in the 1980s and its triumphs on the touring car circuit.

Sorry I said sedan I meant coupe. But through the context of the post you can tell what I meant.

I said was they have not made a coupe for over $50K. I know they have made sedans that have been successfull in excess of $50K.

Jesus why is everyone attacking me. I know audi's intention. I am just saying it will be interesting to see how well it will sell. Will people rather have a Porsche Carerra or an Audi R8? Audi has not been in this PARTICULAR market before.
