they just honked & drove by.

I figured they would say something since I was taking up a turn lane-- but nope! Just drove right by!

I switched back & forth between the stock (sony) 18-70mm and a 70-210mm (minolta)

i'm liking that alpha but still not liking the prices of it's lenses, haven't priced the minolta's though.

photoshopped a couple to bring out the color and vibrance a little more...

    Thanks- those look great.

Yeah I didnt edit them at all- just stright to the web.

Which tool did you use to adjust the image? Color balance? Contrast?

Looks like contrast was bumped up a notch. I was a bit hesitant to mess with that because the car is black already and bumping the contrast loses the detail in the shadow areas.

    Thanks though- those look great.

BTW- you can get older MInolta lenses for cheap from KEH and from ebay.

I got my 70-210mm from KEH and I love it. I have a 100-300mm but havent used it on the alpha yet.

very little contrast change...you can click Image - Adjustments - Auto Contrast for an easy way to see what it looks like (Auto Color doesn't always work too well though)

    The only thing I did on them was Image - Adjustments - Hue/Saturation - 20-30+ and Filter - Sharpen - Unsharp Mask - 20%, 1.5%, 5

What's the very best glass minolta makes? anything anywhere near the quality of canon's L's?!

It helps to sharpen the image a little bit, but be careful it's easy to take this tool overboard and ruin your pictures.
