this is a good motor. We have had a few people come by and take a look at it, even had someone open the motor up and said that the motor was VERY clean. Great motor for a DD or even to build. take a look the motor is at my house, then you can buy some of my parts also!!!! lol

what type pistons and rods? What comp. ratio? Is it stock bore or? Was it balanced when it was built?
no tranny!! the dude i got it from did not know anything about the motor cous he got it from someone so to be honest with u i dont have a clue. i did ride in the car it came out of before i got it and i was faster than my ls.
so your saying that, your not sure if it does have aftermarket rods or pistons? this motor might run better than yours that could be why it FEELS faster than yours. not trying to fuck up ur thread but I'll be pretty mad if you sold me a motor which you said had aftermarket parts but when i open it, its stock.Originally Posted by vjizzle

I pulled the cover off and the plugs out the tops of the pistons look like ctr pistons but I am not sure.. I didn't take the motor completely apart..
but the motor
-is complete
-holds good compression
-nothing in the oil
no oil on the block (motor had oil in it)
-the motor is worth what he is asking if I still had my hatch this motor would be in it now

the motor is stock bore, not sure about the pistons and rods, the guy who we got it from wasnt even sure if there were aftermarket or OEM but when a guy came over and pulled the motor apart he comfirmed that they were not OEM rods and pistons so thats all me cas say. Also compression ratio is also not known. It was being built for all motor, daily driver car so its nothing insane. thats all we can say, talk to vjizzle and he can get you the guys number who pulled the motor apart, he would know more about it than we would

I have seen the motor it is complete...
it holds compression I am going to say somewhere aound 10.1 to 10.5 to 1
the motor is very very clean....
and at that price it is a steal...

wat obd is it? nothing else missing but the tranny? Still have the wiring? Comes with ls ecu? any guarentee that its a good motor? If its obd II i might buy it and put it in my civic

we have 2 people who have looked at the motor other than vjizzle. its auctually in my garage right now and look at post #14. tattoodlude looked at the motor and stated it was a great looking motor. pm vjizzle for more info on ecu and wires, I dont know and will not be home for a while

dude i had a 99 ls with low miles with a good motor and i relly dont think this thing ran better than mine it rad or felt faster cous it was faster. i know what ur talken about but im telling u that this is not a stock motor.
I'm not saying that it doesn't have the parts u said, but just because your motor had low miles dont mean it ran good i had a stock gsr motor with over 220k headgasket leak and dirty as can be, I ran 14.2 all day in my hatch with full interior and a/c. I'm not hatin or anything im trying to help you out. make sure u have the parts you stated before you sell it because you will give yourself a bad name if it didnt have the parts you said. but anyways

I don't think CTR pistons will work with a LS head in a LS block.... CTR pistons are configured for the vtec head comb. chamber.. If Im not mistaken.. Why not just pull the pan and look at the rods and look at the bottom of the pistons... The mystery would be over...And it would sell 2xs as fast
dude for $500 even if it was just a stock rebuilt motor with 17k is still a good price. plus it has a ported and polishe head.
