    Default FS: s2000 ricks header

There are many after market headers available for the S2000, some producing decent power and torque gains, others producing no gains at all, and most costing a small fortune. Rick’s Signature Accessories set out to develop an S2000 header with four major goals in mind:
    • Achieve horsepower and torque gains comparable to the Mugen header, acknowledged to be one of the premiere S2000 header designs.
    • Realize substantial weight savings from the stock Honda header
    • Provide mounting points for the stock heat shield (an omission of most aftermarket S2000 headers)
    • Offer outstanding quality and craftsmanship at a price far below other aftermarket headers
After more than half a year of development and dyno testing, we are pleased to report that we have achieved all four goals.

Rick’s 6 plus header produces horsepower gains across the low and middle RPM ranges (where they are most needed), with a maximum gain of six horsepower at 6200 RPM (just about square on the point of VTEC engagement). The range and magnitude of hp gains is comparable to the far more expensive Mugen header. Torque increases of about 3 or 4 were also achieved, along the same range as the horsepower gains. Like the Mugen header, horsepower with Rick’s 6 Plus header trails off at about 7600 RPM.
Rick’s 6 Plus Header weighs in at only 12.8 pounds, a major savings from the stock S2000 header. As originally planned, our 6 Plus header also features mounting points for the stock heat shield, an important feature for many owners concerned about managing the S2000’s high under-hood engine heat. Made from high-quality stainless steel, with equal length pipes, beautifully welded sections, and a stock-matching 3/8 “ stainless steel mounting flange, Rick’s 6 Plus header is a work of art for motor heads, and a handsome addition to the S2000’s already attractive engine bay.
Best of all, Rick’s 6 Plus Header retails for $725, providing all the performance gains of the Mugen header at half the cost, and offering savings of hundreds of dollars off the price of most other aftermarket headers.
