maybe the wires wasn't correct, did you use the VTM wire? also was the "male" and "female" connectors on the right end of the ecu harness to the vtec solenoid wire? I have installed numerous v-afc and the main problem with ppl installing them is that they don't put the connectors on the right side, one end of the harness is feeding to the v-afc and the other end is the v-afc feeding to the ecu.
