Default 2002 Chevy S10 Stereo help

i am trying to put a system in a 2002 chevy s10, but the aftermarket harness that plugs into the factory harness costs $100!!! so i was wondering if i could cut the harness or just wire into it? and if i can does anyone have the wiring diagram for it cause i cant find one for a 2002 model. Thanks any help would be very appreciated.

yeah, were'd you price the a/m harness?? check wal-mart, cheap cheap there...just not sure on the selection.

i know some of the ones that bypass factory amps can be a bit pricy but i've never seen them over $45-50 at the most.

then yeah, just hack it up...use a chainsaw to get the dash trim pieces off before you get started, could probably use that to cut the wires and get rid of the stock headunit too...5+ hp motor on 88.25 octane gas (you gotta custom mix it) for best results

nah, just tell the dude to save up some $$$...or check online, or you can go to the dealership, get the end of the harness you need and pin up your own harness with your own wire.

    ebay?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Radio-Wiring...QQcmdZViewItem

he's got good feedback, the description is a little unclear though...you could e-mail him to make sure it's what you need...or just check the other auctions

    but $5-$15 beats $100
