    Default Need some advice

Ok here's what i have in my car:
    Pioneer head unit(4700mp i believe)
4 5.25 polk DB series speakers
    1200d hifonics amplifier pushing
2 infinity 12" referance series subs

Here's my problem. my car has become very jerky when driving. took it to the shop they said my car needed a tune up, done. now they are saying that the problem could also be that my system is pulling too much. I know i need a cap and they said that it's just a bandaid for the problem. THey say that the amplifier is draining my altenator, battery, and ignition(i believe that's what he said something like that). What are my options to help this out? More powerful altenator? hit me up with options. I'm going into the shop in an hour and i need some ideas so i don't go in blind.

When I had my accord bagged, the compressors did the same thing to my alternator. 1 call and I was squared away.

i'll check prices and everything there. I might just have to re evaluate how i want to do my system. Either keep it with the power it pushes now or downgrade and see what i can do with it from there.

before spending money on an alternator try this.

Its called a big 3 upgrade
    Alt to battery positive
    battery to block neg
    block to frame neg

upgrade those 3 wires to 4awg. It will make your charging MUCH more efficient and may fix the problem. If that doesnt do it, then upgrade the battery to a gel cell like an optima. Those types of batteries hold more juice and charge and discharge faster than a stndard lead acid battery. If those 2 fail and its still having problems, then its time for an alt, but even if you know your going to need a better alt, to get th most out of it, you should do the big 3 and battery upgrades first or at the same time.

Thats exactly what I was gonna say. If you look at all the wires, they are tiny....room for upgrade.
