And Mikey, I would buy stuff from you, but I don't know any installers that work at your HiFi, and with my experiences in the past and how many people in almost every part of the industry I know I don't let people touch my car I don't know anymore. That is part of the reason why it isn't back yet. Fire hazard behind my dash FTL!

Do you want equipment AND labor for $1500. Hit up Traffic Jams in Buford and talk to them, im sure they could figure something out within your budget

Well just think about it this way, would you want to take your car to a shop that CANT handle an expensive install? They can do a $30,000 install if you had the money, and they can do a $500 one. There is something for everyone, at least talk to them and see what they can do within your budget constraints

your not going to get what you want for only 1500 unless its bottom end gear and covered glass enclosure.

just a small break down for OK gear at best. No model numbers cause I'm at work and the computer suck.

    4 250wrms subs ~ 75ea $300
    1 1000wrms amp $250
    1 4ch amp ~75x4 $200
    1 2 amp 4awg install kit $60

    total for gear $810

that only leaves 690 for the box and complete install.

if that is priced with equipment and labor, then either that product is very low quality or they are ripping themselves on labor..unless its just a generic ass carpeted enclosure....you get what you pay for

what kind of car, what all do you want done, what are you open to, fiberglass? paint, Carpet?. what is your goal. are you open to ideas? let me know we can help you out. sometimes its better to spen a little more on something that sounds right. rather then something that looks good and sounds like ass.

well I have a 2000 mercury cougar. I would like to install 4 tens and amp to push them and a 1 amp for my highs. it is not for competition but still needs to represent the shop that did install. Yes I'm very open to idea's. where do you work at.

what type of equipment would you be able to offer with a decent set up. if you have never looked at a cougar before then you can compare the truck and back seats removed from an enclipse or tiburon. well it looked real good. how much was that set up and enclosure. or did they already have the equipment.

okay I can live with that. I guess it is just that I haven't really seen a lot of stuff you guys have done except for that one accord. from my experience most shops I know. can usually tell you what type of equipment and some what kind of enclosure will be able them to keep with in a budget. Cost of equipment that will allow them to still build a desent set up. But thanks for the advice that you have given. best bet is to go to the actual location to talk face to face with them.

  27. #27

i could easily tak to you about what kind of equipment and blah blah blah, but i dont really deem that necessary until we figure out what you want the trunk to look like...cause things might change dependent on the amount of romm or how many amps, caps, subs,or anything else we can throw in there..if anything at all....i just prefer to see the vehicle first ..that is all!

I like the polk set-up, everything else is too over the top for my tastes. I wonder what ever happened to the less is more concept. Now a days everyone wants something extravigant(sp?) IMO if you ahve a custom vehicle, having one thing stick out takes away from everything else thats done.

quit your damn whining. I wasnt knocking on the quality of the work, just stating my opinion. If you had any intelligence at all you would have noticed I said it was "too over the top for my tastes".

if you had any intelligence you would remember me saying who asked for your opinion. who cares about your taste. you build your own shit, so do things the way you like them and keep it to your self no part of this post asked if banginjimmy if it was your taste or not.
