    If you are talking MTX 9515's that box is way too large for daily use. I has to be peaky as hell and will definately hurt power handling.

    Even for DD 9515's the box is large. For SPL only they only need about 6.5cu each. That box has to have about 8.5 to 8.75 per sub.

    So...DDs need a certain amount of air....therefore OTHER brands need less???? It all depends on application, and the customer's preferences. Again, the customer's preferences...not your experiences.

    The box is tuned low, so there is less chance of damaging the speakers. Not eveyrone is in the SPL lane with the ability to have re-coned woofers at their disposal.

    Regarding being "peaky"...isnt that the point of a ported box? To have a "peak" at a certain frequency for added output?

    Are you 65+ and listen to classical? Or 20ish listening to hip-hop?

    BTW...the customer is happy.
