agreed but the reason I went with IDQ is because they are so freakin light and you can put them in .25 cuft box for each one. Also, the IDQ represent more what the music should sound like. My system sounds better than most without subs. I just wanted a little bit extra.Originally Posted by BanginJimmy
Another point that I think has been overlooked in this thread... and the above is an example of. There is NO perfect overall sub. Totally depends on needs, application and budget. My budget is higher than most on here... I sprung for Utopia Be 3 ways.... but the IDQ were actually pretty cheap.
BTW, I made a statement about my budget to make a point... not to brag. I problably cound of had any subs I wanted. The ones I got were $160.00 each and they are the perfect subs for what I am looking for. Lots of great subs out there. One of my favorite all around subs is the Alpine R. not the most expensive but does a helluva job.
Also as an FYI for most people looking at Image dynamics. I don't think the IDQ is a good fit for most people with systems. These are not good subs to "show off" and be "loud" with. The IDMAX will be a much better multipurpose but incredible sounding sub that would be amazing for most people/posters on this board.
